Has the existence of sin, darkness and death caught God off guard? Did God have a plan to reconcile sinners to Himself and restore His image in them? Did our salvation come to us by God’s initiative or our own? Some of the most comforting knowledge that we can possess is to know that God is a planning God. He is sovereign over all things and nothing is by chance or coincidence. This truth is also clearly seen in the glorious work of redemption and it should be a source of comfort to a believer.
